Residents of Sanctuary Point are being asked to comment on how the town can be improved to boost community ownership and deter anti-social behaviour. It comes in the wake of a spate of vandalism in the town over the last 12 months and criticism that Shoalhaven Council is not doing enough to maintain roads and community facilities. The surveys are available from a number of Sanctuary Point businesses or can be downloaded from Council's website and must be completed by December 16. Member of the Community Pride Group, Les Boucher says many residents feel that Sanctuary Point is being neglected by council

Aggravated Home Invasion In Moss Vale
Bowral police are appealing for public assistance with a home invasion in Moss Vale this morning, resulting in one person being conveyed to Bowral hospital with head injuries At approximately 12:40am this morning eight offenders in balaclavas broke into the Mc Cleary Ave property, armed with a shovel and wood the offenders split into two groups of four forcing entry through the front and back doors During a confrontation one a male in his 30's was struck to the head and later transported to Bowral hospital in a stable condition The offenders did not take anything from the... Council Orders Closure Of Iconic Berrima Business
After more than three decades of servicing four wheel drives Wingecarribee Council has ordered the closure of an iconic southern highlands business, and even after providing the owners documentary proof to operate.
