Meeting Tonight To Discuss Future Of Ulladulla Civic Centre

photo

The recent controversy surrounding the $8 million redevelopment of the Ulladulla Civic Centre and library is likely to be the central topic of discussion tonight (mon) at the first general meeting for 2012 of the Ulladulla and Districts Community Forum.

The meeting is being held at St Martin's Church Hall in Green Street from 7pm.

Gilmore MP Jo Gash has called for the Ulladulla Civic Centre redevelopment to be placed on hold until after the Shoalhaven Council elections in September where she intends to stand as mayor.

She is calling for the site to be sold so facilities are not duplicated with the Dunn and Lewis Youth centre.

But the Forum's Jan Shalhoub says the community wants the upgrade to go ahead and council can't sell off the land because it doesn't own most of it
