Two men have been taken to hospital after being hit by an out of control , and stolen, van.

About 8am yesterday a white Mazda van was travelling north along Auburn Street Conniston

when it mounted the western kerb and hit a 28-year-old male pedestrian.

The van then crashed into the back of a parked truck, trapping the 34-year-old male driver inside.

The driver of the van was flown to St George Hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

He is in a stable condition.

The pedestrian was taken to Wollongong Hospital and treated for a lower back injury.

Police allege the vehicle driven by the 34-year-old man was stolen.

Council Orders Closure Of Iconic Berrima Business

After more than three decades of servicing four wheel drives Wingecarribee Council has ordered the closure of an iconic southern highlands business, and even after providing the owners documentary proof to operate.
