Three people have been charged over the alleged bashing of a 15 year old girl outside a Warrawong school on Monday which left her unconscious.

Police allege the girl was repeatedly punched in the head and stomach by a woman, while being restrained by a teenager in the carpark of a school in Cowper Street.

A 14 year old boy who tried to assist the girl was also allegedly assaulted.

A man then allegedly joined the attack and punched the 15 year old girl in the side of the face.

Police have charged the man and woman, both aged 35 with assaulting a school student while a 13 year old girl faces charges of affray and common assault.

Council Steps Up Pressure for Third Nowra Bridge

In the run up to the state budget pressure is being placed on the government to approve funding to find a site for a third crossing of the Shoalhaven River. The initial plan was to have a bridge upstream of the  Golf Course as part of a western by pass of Nowra. In recent times thinking has been a crossing much closer to the existing bridges. Mayor Green says a study a almost decade ago... Read more
