He Man Act - Disqualified Driver Pushes Vehicle Home

nowra police station In an amazing feat of human endurance and strength, a man caught early this morning for driving while disqualified, ended up pushing his vehicle home.

The man was stopped on Illaroo Road near the Mobil Service Station, and breached for driving without a licence.

The man told police he did not want to leave the vehicle beside the road, because he feared it would be stolen.

Warned he would be booked again if he drove, the man complied with police orders....and pushed the vehicle home.

It was no ordinary vehicle....a hefty Nissan Patrol.....pushed solo up hill from the Mobil to the round about , up Mc Mahons Road and into Hanson's road

Church Passes Plate Raises  Amazing $164,000

A Shoalhaven Church has raised a staggering $164,000 after passing the plate for a Sunday collection. Every year the Nowra City Church  in North Nowra runs an ' Imagine ' collection to raise funds for projects to help those less fortunate at both home and abroad.   The collection has been run for the last 12 years, during which time a total of $2.2 million has been raised. Projects earmarked for funding this year include ending the child sex trade in Cambodia and Nepal, construction of amenities blocks at a slum in Kathmandu, and setting up micro enterprises in Vietnam.
