Policeman Injured, Car Chased,Driver Flees Into Bomo Bush

Detectives have arrested a 25 yr old Bomaderry man who was wanted over an incident this morning where a police officer was injured.

Just before 4AM the police officer suffered leg injuries, and had to be treated by paramedics after being hit by a car in Cambewarra Road Bomaderry

Colleagues of the injured officer chased the white Commodore around the streets of Bomaderry, reaching speeds of up to 100 KPH in a 50 zone.

The driver abandoned the car in the middle of Jasmin Drive, locked the vehicle, left the lights on and fled into thick bushland near north of Bomaderry oval.

Police scoured the area but failed to find any trace of the driver

A police dog was also brought in to assist in the search.

He was located just after 8:30 this morning and has so far been charged with 7 offences including driving whilst disqualified, possessing and cultivating a prohibited drug and using an offensive weapon.

He will remain in custody until appearing before Nowra Court.

FORD Australia Announces The Closure Of Its Melbourne Factor…

More than 1200 jobs are set to go following Ford Australia's announcement this morning to close its Melbourne manufacturing production plants from October 2016. Ford has two plants in Broadmeadows and Geelong manufacturing the Falcon and SUV Territory. At least 1200 jobs will be made redundant within the two factories. The company has released their 2012 financial results reporting a loss of $141 million dollars after tax. Multi Vehicle Highway Pile – Second In Three Days

For the second time this week a multi vehicle pile up at a road works site has caused traffic chaos on the Princes Highway.
