Woman Survives 100 KPH Hit Run At Jervis Bay

Ambulance At Shoalhaven Hospital A woman has had a close shave with death this morning after a 100 KPH  hit run near near Jervis Bay overnight.

The incident happened about midnight on the Huskisson Road west of  the entrance to the tip.

A woman aged between 45 and 50 was walking along the road when was hit by a passing vehicle.

The woman suffered cuts, and  abrasions  and was lapsing in and out of consciousness when police arrived on scene.

She  was treated at the side of the road by paramedics  before being loaded into an ambulance and taken to Shoalhaven Hospital.

Paramedics say it appears as though the woman only suffered a glancing blow from the passing car, and was hurled off to the side of the road.

Police say the driver of the vehicle failed to stop and was last seen driving west on Huskisson Road towards Jevis Bay Road.

The car is described as white in colour, with pop up headlights.

One of the headlights may not be working.

Wingecarribee Water Prices Rise, Residents Not Happy

Residents across the Wingecarribee who have been experiencing considerably increased water charges have raised there concerns with Council.
