A south coast mum has disappeared in mysterious and disturbing circumstances prompting a high level state wide police alert. 41 year old Donna Walters left work in the Batemans Bay area on Friday afternoon to drive to a local pre-school to pick up her one year old daughter. She failed to arrive and has not been seen since. The child is now being cared for by relatives and police say Ms Walters' disappearance is totally out of character. When last seen Ms Walters was driving a blue Daewoo Matiz registered WJU 634. Anyone who has seen the vehicle is asked to call Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000. |

Calls For DPP To Explain Charge Downgrade In Kelly Case
Premier Barry O'Farrell says he shares community concern about a plea-bargain with the killer of Kings Cross bashing victim, Thomas Kelly. 19 year old Kieran Loveridge has been allowed to plead guilty to the manslaughter of the Bowral teenager but the Kelly family believes he should have been tried for murder. Mr Kelly’s mother, Kathy has expressed disappointment that the family "had no rights or say at all" in the procedure. The Premier says it would help if the Director of Public Prosecution’s reasoning was made public. The State Opposition has gone one step further, calling on... Read more
