Man Arrested Over Kidnapping Of South Coast Mum

pollice logo A man  has spent the night behind bars -- after being charged with  kidnapping a woman in Batemans Bay

41-year-old DONNA WALTERS disappeared  from BATEMANS BAY on Friday.

She had left work to go and pick up her one year old daughter from pre-school, but never arrived.

Ms Walters  was later found along with her abandoned car at CASEY'S  BEACH near Batemans Bay.

She was taken to Batemans Bay Hospital, checked over and later released.

A 43-year-old man has been charged with her abduction, as well as  intimidation and assault offences.

Officers from the State Protection Group arrested the man on the Kings Highway at Nelligan.

A replica hand gun was found during a search of the man's four wheel drive.

He has been refused bail and is due in court this morning.

A man has been charged over a series of  lewd sex acts on southern highlands rail line station earlier this week. On Wednesday  a group of girls were standing on the platform at Picton Railway Station when they allegedly saw a man acting  an indecent and offensive manner. The girls, all aged 16, got on the next train and later reported the matter to police.  Elderly Man Threatened With Eviction -Race Track Meeting

An elderly Shoalhaven man says he is shocked at threat to have security guards remove him from a meeting about a proposed motor racing track after he launched a passionate appeal to re-locate the circuit elsewhere. 66 year old Don Goodsell was one of about 60 people invited to a briefing by Motor Cycling New South Wales, which plans to develop the multi purpose track on a 130ha bush land site at Yerriyong near HMAS Albatross. New Attempt To Shut Down Nowra Security Cameras

There is a new threat to the recently re-activated security cameras in the Nowra CBD,  with the Greens attempting to overturn new legislation allowing their operation. The cameras were shut down following a privacy case mounted in the Administrative Decisions Tribunal by civil rights activist Adam Bonner. Earlier this week Shoalhaven Council began re-commissioning the system after the state government passed special legislation allowing their operation.
