Why book with Cruiseabout Bowral? There are many reasons why you should book your next holiday with us. * We offer over 25 years of experience and are experts in helping you plan your amazing holiday and create dreams most travellers never would have dreamt were possible. * We can offer advice on all aspects of your trip from cruising, airfares, organised tours, adventure holidays, accommodation, day tours and insurance. * Our service doesn't end when you make final payment, we are here right up until your departure to answer any last minute questions and if you need to contact us while on holiday, we are just a phone call or email away. For example, over the last three years volcanic ash clouds have closed skies around the world and disrupted millions of travellers. Our clients were kept informed and up to date and we worked tirelessly to ensure they had alternative travel arrangements. Our travel insurance company even had a dedicated team working on the ground at airports assisting our stranded clients. Sadly, people who booked online were not so well looked after. "Without a travel agent, you're on your own" What do kids do at "Kids Club"? Gone are the days where your children will be sitting in a room watching TV! Kids Club on board ships are fabulous and fun for all ages. Your children will tell you this was their best holiday ever. Why? Because Kids Club's have the coolest ways to entertain your little ones and teens with awesome activities. Ships generally offer three kids clubs in the following age groups - 3 to 6 years where they take part in arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, watch movies and cartoons, talent shows, disco nights, afternoon ice cream and wildlife and ocean activities, 7 to 10 years where again they enjoy arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, movies and cartoons and talent shows plus Playstation competitions and then 11 to 17 years where they offer sports competitions, pizza parties, Playstation competitions, talent shows, hip hop classes and mocktail parties - and that is just to name a few! The staff are all qualified and take fun seriously, in a safe and secure environment. Why should I book the ship's shore excursions? Each and every cruise line offers a vast range of shore excursions, ranging in diversity from dog sledding in Alaska to wine and cheese tasting in France and snorkeling the turquoise waters of the South Pacific, there is something for everyone. By booking your shore excursions with the ship you are travelling on you are promised to be back on board in time...no missing the boat! Although you may find a local operator with a shore excursion that appears similar for $20 less, you do risk it not getting you back to the ship in time if there is a transportation issue or it may not be reputable and up to western safety standards. Keep in mind that the cruise line wants you to have a truly memorable holiday and they know how to make it happen! River cruising seems really popular, where can I travel on one? River cruising is an exceptional way to travel the world's water ways. Providing an intimate atmosphere and relaxed surroundings, there is a world of opportunity. European River Cruising can take you through some of the continents most beautiful countries, including France, Russia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Romania and even Italy! Whether it is the battle fields of France that intrigue or the chance to see the world's most spectacular castles, it will be the holiday of a lifetime. Outside of Europe, the options don't stop! Fancy the Mississippi? What about the awe-inspiring Yantze River in China, surrounded by towering cliffs? The Mekong River, taking in Vietnam and Cambodia boasts incredible culinary delights and lets you immerse yourself into the culture. The list truly goes on and on so why not ask us about what we suggest for your special holiday? Do I need cash on board the ship? Anything that you purchase on board will be charged back to your on board account. The only area that requires cash is the Casino. Once you check in you will be given a key card, which is the size of a credit card, this will be your room key and it will allow you to purchase items including drinks on board and serves as identification. At the end of the cruise you will have an itemised bill, which you can pay by cash or credit card. It is a wonderful, convenient, safe and secure system that allows you to limit what you carry around on board. I have never cruised before, is there a cruise that’s suitable for me? The joy of cruising is that it really does cater for every age group and every interest. We can help match your needs to a specific cruise destination as well as find a ship that has all the facilities on board that you require. Is your style river barging in France or a yacht along the Dalmatian coast? We can book it! Do the kids need to be kept entertained? Don't worry, from ice-skating rinks, discos, surf parks and many other activities there is something to keep your kids busy while you soak up the sun and do exactly as you wish! If you are new to travelling without the kids and ready to have some time just for the two of you, or if you travelling alone and wanting a social atmosphere we can recommend the best holiday for you. Not only have we all cruised extensively but we are constantly training and keeping up to date with the latest in the cruise industry, and all it has to offer. |

This Sunday Ride The Rails Like The Good Old Days
Southern Highlands residents who dont mind a bit of nostalgia are being urged to join a trip in some historic rail carriages this weekend. There will be departures from Goulburn at 9.30, 11 and 2, marking 144 years since rail arrived on the southern tablelands.
