Man Charged With Attempted Murder Over Road Rage
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a road rage incident near Picton yesterday. Police say around 9am two vehicles collided at the corner of Camden and Menangle Roads in Douglas Park. Police say one of the drivers got out of his vehicle and allegedly repeatedly stabbed the 57 year old driver of the other vehicle. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition. Knife Produced In Moss Vale Supermarket Robbery
Two Shoalhaven woman have been arrested after a robbery gone wrong on the southern highlands overnight. The pair from Nowra aged 18 and 16 allegedly threatened staff at the IGA in Moss Vale with a knife, after which they escaped with a quantity of food stuffs. They were arrested a short distance away in Argyle Street. Police say there were no injuries. The 16 year old has been refused bail and the 18 year old given strict conditional bail, pending a future appearance in Moss Vale Local Court. Read more
Hume Truckies In Spotlight - Union Demands Action
The Transport Workers Union is calling on truck drivers to "dob in" firms which are doctoring speed limiters and forcing them to work dangerous hours. It follows a police raid on the SYDNEY firm whose truck was involved in a triple fatal crash at MENANGLE, between Mittagong and Campbelltown in January. Police says its found eight LENNONS vehicle have had their speed governors had been tampered with. TONY SHELDON from the Transport Workers Union says its a major problem nationwide. Read more
