Police have charged a man with a number of firearm offences after he allegedly threatened a man with a shotgun.
Police say a 46-year-old man, allegedly armed with a shotgun, confronted another man outside a hotel in Gunning.
He allegedly pointed the firearm at the 28-year-old man and threatened him.
The younger man walked away while two of his friends disarmed the man.
It is believed the two men had an argument earlier in the night.
Police from Goulburn Local Area Command attended and secured the firearm.
They searched for the alleged offender, however, he had left the premises.
Early this morning the 46-year-old man attended Gunning Police Station and was arrested.
He was charged with:
• Possess unregistered unauthorised prohibited firearm in public place;
• Possess loaded firearm public place;
• Handle/use firearm under the influence of alcohol/drug; and,
• Threaten injury to person with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He was bail refused to appear at Goulburn Bail Court today.
