Two Shoalhaven Women Hold Up Moss Vale Supermarket
Two Shoalhaven woman have been arrested after a robbery gone wrong on the southern highlands overnight. The pair from Nowra aged 18 and 16 allegedly threatened staff at the IGA in Moss Vale with a knife, after which they escaped with a quantity of food stuffs. They were arrested a short distance away in Argyle Street. Police say there were no injuries. The 16 year old has been refused bail and the 18 year old given strict conditional bail, pending a future appearance in Moss Vale Local Court. Read more
Bomaderry Fence needs repair ‘before someone is killed’
Bomaderry residents have pleaded with Shoalhaven Council and Roads and Maritime Services to take urgent action to repair a fence at Bomaderry before someone is killed or seriously injured. A section of fence along the highway at Bomaderry was destroyed about a fortnight ago when a car crashed during a police pursuit. The car ran up the side of a rock embankment ,just north of Bolong Road, and ripped out sections of a steel mesh fence, alongside the pedestrian footpath. Work Starts On $44 Million Shoalhaven Project
Work has started on the region's most expensive construction project since the completion of the South Nowra Jail, and is the first of three major developments to get underway this year. Local electricity distributor Endeavour Energy is constructing a new $44 million zone sub station off Blackbutt Road at West Tomerong. Earth works and excavation of the foundations is now underway.
