Multi Vehicle Highway Pile – Second In Three Days

For the second time this week a multi vehicle pile up at a road works site has caused traffic chaos on the Princes Highway. On Tuesday four vehicles were involved in a chain reaction rear end crash near where Roads and Maritime crews were working on the Wandandian Creek bridge. This morning there was  three vehicle crash on the highway south of Nowra. Greens Say Forget Nowra Car Park – We Have Better Idea

The Greens have condemned Shoalhaven Council plans to seek state government funding for a multi level car park in Nowra, and instead believe there should be  medium density housing and a health precinct near the hospital. Following the lease of the Port Kembla wharves to the private sector,  the state has set aside $100 million for job generating projects on the south coast and southern highlands. Criteria for eligibility will be announced next month, but if it qualifies,  Shoalhaven Council plans to seek money for a parking station to serve the Nowra CBD,  and help reduce the... Read more

Police Release Name Of Nowra Man Killed In Crash

Police have released the name of a Nowra man who has been killed in a crash on the southern tablelands. 41 year old , Paul Tobin died sometime between 9 Sunday night and 4 on Monday morning after losing  control of a Toyota Hi Lux ute on the Childowla Road at Bookham near Yass. Police say the flat tray ute rolled down an embankment, with Mr Tobin's body  found by a passing motorist.
