Council To Start Upgrades

Quinns Lane repairs The State Government has agreed to lend Shoalhaven Council $2 million to accelerate its road upgrade and renewal program.

Mayor Paul Green says the money is being made available through a low interest loan. Over the life of the 10 year loan, the low interest rate is expected to save council around almost half a million dollars.

Council is yet to announce where the additional money will be spent, but Mayoral candidate Jo Gash says she believes the region's number one priority should be Quinns Lane at South Nowra. The road is badly broken up and pot holed,  and subject to closure because of flooding, after anything more than moderate rain.

I can reveal that Paul Green sent me a text message with regards to Matron Porter Drive and Manning Avenue, see the message below.
