Gambling at Sea in Jervis Bay

pacific pearl A cruise-ship company will be asked to explain whether it was operating an on-board casino off south coast waters.

It is reported that a P and O ship allowed passengers on board the Pacific Pear  to play blackjack, roulette, and poker-machines  during a food and wine  cruise to  JERVIS BAY last weekend.

P and O is planning further stop overs in Jervis Bay later in the year, including a comedy cruise.

Gaming Minister GEORGE SOURIS says gambling is only allowed on cruise-ships at least 12 nautical miles from shore, and he has asked his department to investigate.

So when booking a cruise you would assume that if there’s a casino on board, you’ll be sweet to play right? Maybe not, George Souris Gaming Minister tells 2ST there’ll be an investigation into gambling onboard.

This to me is INSANE! Are we just losing our sense of FUN, have we become so sanitised that we can’t let people even enjoy time off and relax and do with THEIR money what they want to do on the water?

We truly have gone mad!
