Our seniors are once again being targeted by scammers posing as government officials promising carbon tax compensation and asking for their personal details. As reported in the Daily Telegraph, Department of Veterans' Affairs chief Ian Campbell said his department had been alerted by a number of veterans who had been asked for personal information so they could receive the payments. In some cases the "cowardly" scammers said they were from Veterans Affairs. |

Is 18 Too Young To Drink?
There's a growing push to increase the drinking age to 21. At a national forum academics and medicos are urging Federal MP's to encourage states to make the change, tying the issue to road-funding. Professor John Toomberoo from Deakin University's says Australian teenagers are twice as likely to abuse alcohol as teens in the US, where the legal age in the US is 21.
