The need for a marina in Jervis Bay has taken on a new sense of urgency as leading insurers start to refuse providing cover for yachts and boats moored at Callala. About a dozen craft were washed ashore last week in a 100 KPH storm , and while existing insurance cover will be honoured, some leading companies are starting to say " no more ".
A marina in Huskisson makes sense and of course that location has been mentioned for as long as I can remember. We talk about the need to push our tourism dollars to a billion dollars annually would become a reality if all parties worked toward establishing a marine in Huskisson and in the Southern Shoalhaven. The marina in Nelson Bay, north of Newcastle is responsible for that areas growth in employment, tourism and employment.

What’s the answer? This morning I spoke to Sonja Walker, director of Kids... Read more

If I was in that position I think I would agree and hopeful see the companies fortunes turn around. Holden will ask employees at its Adelaide plant to accept a pay cut, in a bid to slash its labour costs... Read more
Petition For Thomas Kelly
The man charged with killing Thomas Kelly in the notorious Kings Cross party strip has pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Kieran Loveridge entered the plea when his matter came before Central Local Court. He was originally charged with murder but the prosecution accepted the lesser plea of manslaughter This morning I spoke to 2UE’s Jason Morrison about 2UE’s petition as Thomas' family believe he should face a jury on the original murder. They are supported by Victims of Crime Groups. If you agree, consider signing Jason Morrison's petition to the Attorney General for... Read more
