Battle 4 Berrima want details about Meeting

Chris Hartcher 03 03 2010

The Battle 4 Berrima Group is trying to access records of a meeting which took place between a former Energy and Resources Minister and Posco which is the parent company of Hume Coal.

Official Government records show Chris Hartcher met with Posco Executives in Korea back in November 2012,  just months before Hume Coal's lease over the A349 exploration area was renewed.

Spokesperson Michael Verberkt says they've made a Freedom of Information request to find out what was discussed in the meeting.

Records also show Mr. Hartcher met with the Korean Resources Corporation and the Korea Electrical Power Corporation during the tour to Seoul.

However Hume Coal Spokesperson Ben Fitzsimmons says he's unaware of any details discussed at the meetings.
