Thief gets bogged in mud

stuck in mud

A man from Thirlmere found himself in a spot of bother after he allegedly stole a number of items from a farm at Picton and then got his vehicle bogged in mud.

Around 5:30 on Saturday morning workers noticed the man and when they realised what he was up to, called Police

Some of the items loaded on the truck included 21 aluminium scaffolding poles, an amount of cable and a fuel can that were being stored on the property.

The man was charged and will appear in court at a later date.
