A Bush Fire Risk Management Plan (BFRMP) is a comprehensive document that maps and describes the level of bush fire risk across an area and the proposed treatments to minimise and mitigate the risk.

A BFRMP identifies bush fire issues, identifies assets at risk, assesses the level of risk, and establishes treatment strategies to minimise the risk and who is responsible for carrying out the treatments identified.

These treatment strategies may directly affect you and your property.

The Wollondilly-Wingecarribee BFRMP, has recently been reviewed. Wollondilly-Wingecarribee Bush Fire Management Committee (BFMC) invites you to view the draft BFRMP and make comments by 31 August 2025.

“A BFRMP is an important document which aims to protect the community and assets.

The WollondillyWingecarribee BFMC encourages everyone to take the opportunity to review the draft BFRMP and provide feedback”, said Superintendent Daniel Osborne (Executive Officer, Wollondilly-Wingecarribee BFMC).

“The new Bush Fire Risk Management Plan process has brought together the experience and expertise of fire agencies and land managers, the latest science, and the views of the community.
“The community is a key partner in the development of this plan – helping to identify what’s important to the local community and providing feedback on the ways to protect those assets,” said Superintendent Osborne.

Comments are invited on the Wollondilly-Wingecarribee draft Bush Fire Risk Management Plan, which will be on public exhibition from Monday, 7th July.
