Motorists are advised Moss Vale Road will be closed at Hampden Bridge in Kangaroo Valley for up to 10 nights during August for maintenance work.
Work will include repairing and replacing damaged sections of Hampden Bridge to support the continued use of the bridge at its current 23 tonne load limit and reduce the risk of further damage.
Hampden Bridge will be closed to motorists from 8pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday nights between Sunday 10 and Thursday 21 August, weather permitting.
Pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge during work under the guidance of traffic control.
During work, detours will be in place via Macquarie Pass for vehicles up to 50.5 tonnes and under 19 metres in length.
Motorists are advised to allow up to 90 minutes’ additional travel time depending on origin and destination.
On Friday 15 and Friday 22 August, between 7pm and 5am, stop/slow traffic control will be in place while workers pack down equipment, adding up to ten minutes to travel time.
