Older residents across the South Coast and Shoalhaven are being invited to apply for a position on the federal government’s Aged Care Council of Elders.
The council was established in response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care to help improve the quality and safety of care and protect the rights and dignity of older Australians.
Minister for Aged Care and Seniors, Sam Rae says they particularly want to hear from older residents from REGIONAL and RURAL AREAS.

Appointment to the council is for a term of up to two years, commencing from January 2026
