Construction is underway on upgrades to the Milton Ulladulla Hospital, which will deliver new medical imaging services and an expanded Community Cancer Services Centre for the South Coast community.
The Minns Labor Government is investing $7.5 million to deliver improved health infrastructure at Milton Ulladulla Hospital to meet the current and future healthcare needs of the area.
These upgrades will provide modernised medical imaging services, including a new CT scanner, giving the community access to enhanced diagnostic capabilities closer to home.
The upgraded Community Cancer Services Centre will feature:
- An isolation treatment room with an ensuite
- An extra consultation room
- A new reception space
The inclusion of a private room with an ensuite in the Community Cancer Services Centre will allow patients who require isolation or added privacy to receive care locally, rather than travelling to Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital.
The expanded and enhanced spaces have been carefully designed to create a supportive environment for patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.
Construction firm Patterson Building Group has been appointed to deliver the upgrades following a competitive tender process. Construction is expected to be completed before the end of 2026.
These works form part of the Minns Labor Government’s broader commitment to improving health services across the region, with significant investments underway to support local communities.
The NSW Government is investing $440 million in the Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment, which will establish the Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital as the health hub for the Shoalhaven region, resulting in reduced patient transfers to Wollongong and Sydney hospitals.
Additionally, more than $780 million is being invested in the new Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services Project, which will provide additional health services for Shellharbour residents to access.
