Get ready for summer as Wingecarribee Shire Council announces the reopening
of its seasonal outdoor pools for the 2025/2026 swim season.
Bundanoon and Bowral Swimming Centres will be making a splash this season with family friendly events and activities for the community to enjoy. This season will also see an expanded Learn to Swim Program at each location, thanks to funding from the Royal Life Saving Society.
Bowral and Bundanoon Swimming Centres will host free Preschool, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced learn to swim Programs for children and adults with over 100 fully funded spots available to residents.
Bowral Swimming Centre will be open from Saturday 11 October 2025 to Sunday 22
March 2026:
- Weekdays – 6am to 6pm
- Saturdays – 8.30am to 6pm
- Sundays – 9.30am to 6pm
- Public Holidays – 10am to 5pm
- Bundanoon Swimming Centre will be open from Saturday 8 November 2025 to Sunday
- 8 March 2026, with extended hours during the school holidays:
- Monday/Wednesday – 6am to 8am and 3pm to 6pm
- Tuesday/Thursday/Friday – 3pm to 6pm.
- Weekends/Public Holidays – 10am to 5pm
School holidays:
Monday and Wednesday – 6am to 6pm
Tuesday/Thursday/ Friday – 10am to 6pm.
Wingecarribee Shire Council Deputy Mayor Erin Foley encouraged locals to bring the family along to the pools to beat the heat.
“Our outdoor pools offer the perfect environment for a refreshing escape from the hot
weather,” said Deputy Mayor Foley.
“Our friendly team of lifeguards are there to ensure everyone stays safe and has a great
time. We remind all visitors that we follow the Royal Lifesaving Keep Watch at Public Pools guidelines and supervision of children by parents and guardians is essential. Remember to stay sun safe and keep hydrated,” she said.
This season, there is a lineup of fun, family-friendly activities, from mini-aquathons and
a sensory playgroup for preschoolers to an exciting dive-in movie night.
In February, Bowral and Bundanoon Swimming Centre’s host school swimming carnivals,
reducing public availability. Check the carnival timetable at each centre or on the council
website for lane availability.
