Children across the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands are set to be better-protected online with the full introduction of Age-Restricted Material Codes that come into effect this week.
The nine industry codes ensure device manufacturers, websites and online services have meaningful protections in place to prevent children being exposed to inappropriate content.
The eSafety Commissioner, Julie Inman Grant, says the codes introduce common-sense measures similar to those which protect children in the physical world.
