Liberal Candidate for Kiama, Serena Copley, is continuing her fight for better roads across the Kiama electorate to ensure that the local community gets the infrastructure investment that it deserves.
Hosting the NSW Shadow Minister for Roads, Mark Coure MP, in Albion Park, Ms Copley highlighted the current infrastructure funding shortfalls across the region.
“The Minns Labor Government has been ignoring our community for four years, leaving our infrastructure like local roads in need of major investment,” Ms Copley said.
“Speaking with people across the electorate, I keep hearing stories of people being forced to drive on unsafe roads, dealing with large potholes and deficient maintenance on roads like Jamberoo Mountain Road.
“From Albion Park and Jamberoo through to Kiama, Berry, Bomaderry and our smaller communities, people deserve a representative who will show up, listen and fight for them. I put my hand up to be the Liberal candidate so that I could fight for the needs of this community, and I will continue to advocate for important outcomes like Jamberoo Mountain Road maintenance.”
Shadow Minister for Roads, Mark Coure MP, said the Liberal Party has a strong record of delivery in Kiama and across NSW, with investment in small and large infrastructure projects that make people’s lives better.
“This visit was a great opportunity to hear about projects that are particularly important for this community, and if we’re elected to Government these projects will be our top priority,” Mr Coure said.
“Local families deserve safer roads and better maintenance, with fewer potholes and less congestion. Previous Liberal Governments delivered the Albion Park Bypass, the Berry Bypass and the Berry to Bombaderry duplication, and if elected we will continue this legacy of Liberal delivery.”
