The 45-year-old former senior constable, who was attached to a command in the Southern Region, was issued with a Court Attendance Notice yesterday, for two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police will allege in court the former officer, who was on-duty at the time, assaulted a 21-year-old man during an arrest at Sanctuary Point on Friday January 11, 2019.
He is due to appear in Nowra Local Court in April.
