Paramedic pay deal

December 14, 2023 9:58 am in by

Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven Paramedics will receive a historic pay rise of up to 29 per cent over four years.

Around 2000 NSW Ambulance Paramedics had threatened to withhold their registration, which was due by December 31 2023, which threatened to impact Triple O responses over the New Year period.

Highlands Health Services Union delegate Ian Quigg said the agreement follows years of campaigning with the Perrottet and Minns state governments to give paramedics professional recognition, bringing their pay rates in line with Paramedics in Victoria.

” We are really happy to have a resolution, we didn’t want to have to withdraw our labour for the New Year period and we’re really happy we have been able to get an outcome,” he said.

The pay rises will be phased in from January 1 until July 2026.
