Emergency Services have been called to Tahmoor after a child got locked in a car.

The incident started around 10 o'clock this morning in the Food Works car park on Remembrance Drive.

About half an hour a spare set of keys were found and the child was released.

Police, Fire & Rescue NSW and NSW Paramedics responded.

Fire & Rescue NSW Superintendent Scott Dodson said it's a timely reminder not to leave children or pets in car.

"Even on mild days like today, the temperature can rise quite quickly,"he said.

Investigations continue into vicious assault

Police have released an image of a vehicle of interest as investigations continue into the serious assault of a man at Tahmoor last month.

About 5am on Monday December 27 2021, emergency services were called to a carpark in Thirlmere Way.

Police found a 20-year-old man with serious head and facial injuries.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma.

He has since been released.

Officers from the Camden Police Area Command set up a crime scene and have started an investigation.

Police have released an image of a vehicle of interest, which is a small blue hatchback.

Police were told the vehicle was seen in the Tahmoor area at the time of the alleged assault.

It was later found burnt out.

Officers are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Police are seeking information about a vicious assault which took place at Tahmoor last week and left a man in a coma.

About 5am Monday December 27, Emergency Services were called to a carpark in Thirlmere Way, where they found a 20 year old man with serious facial and head injuries.

Officers from the Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and started an investigation into the circumstances of the assault.

Police have been told a small hatchback was seen to arrive and leave the scene during the alleged assault.

Police want to speak with witnesses, or anyone with knowledge of the incident, vehicles or occupants.

They should contact Camden Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Man seriously injured in Tahmoor workplace accident

Inghams will work with safety authorities to investigate how a man got his leg caught in an ice grinder at its Tahmoor processing factory.

The 35-year-old worker had to have part of his leg amputated at the scene by a specialist paramedic team to free him from the machine.

He was place in an induced coma before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

The incident has left work mates shocked.

Inghams said those who witnessed the incident and the man's family are receiving its full support.

NSW Ambulance special operations director Tim Fairservice said workplace incidents can be "extremely complex".

"It goes without saying that you shouldn't underestimate how dangerous it can be on a worksite, we need to look out for one another," he said.

Safe Work NSW is investigating the incident.

Severe storm cell wreaks havoc in Wollondilly

The Southern Highlands dodged a major bullet at the weekend.

Around 6.30pm on Saturday, a severe storm cell passed through the Wollondilly Shire, causing significant damage to homes in the Thilrmere and Tahmoor areas.

There have been more than 250 requests for assistance.

There were only two jobs in the Wingecarribee.

Incident Controller Dylan Whitelaw said cleanup efforts are expected to continue well into this week.

"We're asking people to remain patient,

"We will get to everyone,"Mr. Whitelaw said.

Third man charged with serious assault

A third man has been charged in connection with a serious alleged assault in Tahmoor.

Just after 4am Monday December 27, emergency services were called to a carpark in Thirlmere Way where thy found a 20-year-old man with serious head and facial injuries.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital, and placed in an induced coma.

He's since been released.

Officers rom the Camden Police Area Command set a crime scene and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault.

A small hatchback, seen in the area, was later found burnt out in a nearby carpark

Two men, aged 26, were arrested and charged on Thursday.

They remain before the courts.

After further inquiries, Police went to a Tahmoor home just after 8am and arrested a third man, aged 28.

He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s), dishonestly destroy/damage property for gain by fire/explosive, and false representation resulting in police investigation.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

A 26-year-old man was arrested about 5pm yesterday in Campbelltown.

The man, from Airds, was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with the following

* assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s) and dishonestly for gain damage property by fire/explosive.

A second man, also aged 26, was arrested at Campbelltown police station at 8.05pm yesterday and charged with the following:

* Assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s) and dishonestly for gain damage property by fire/explosive.

The Lumeah man was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm for a separate offence in January.

Both men were refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.

Woman stabbed in alleged Tahmoor DV attack

A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a woman during a violent domestic at a business in Tahmoor.

Police said the 32-year-old victim suffered lacerations to her hands and a fractured wrist.

She was taken to Campbelltown Hospital while a 62-year-old man was arrested at the scene and also taken for assessment.

He was then taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (DV) and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV).

He's spent the night in the lock up ahead of a court appearance in Campbelltown today.
