Police are seeking information about a vicious assault which took place at Tahmoor last week and left a man in a coma.
About 5am Monday December 27, Emergency Services were called to a carpark in Thirlmere Way, where they found a 20 year old man with serious facial and head injuries.
Officers from the Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and started an investigation into the circumstances of the assault.
Police have been told a small hatchback was seen to arrive and leave the scene during the alleged assault.
Police want to speak with witnesses, or anyone with knowledge of the incident, vehicles or occupants.

The Southern Highlands dodged a major bullet at the weekend.

Two men, aged 26, were arrested and charged on Thursday.
They remain before the courts.
After further inquiries, Police went to a Tahmoor home just after 8am and arrested a third man, aged 28.
He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s), dishonestly destroy/damage property for gain by fire/explosive, and false representation resulting in police investigation.
The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

A 26-year-old man was arrested about 5pm yesterday in Campbelltown.
The man, from Airds, was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with the following
* assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s) and dishonestly for gain damage property by fire/explosive.
A second man, also aged 26, was arrested at Campbelltown police station at 8.05pm yesterday and charged with the following:
* Assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s) and dishonestly for gain damage property by fire/explosive.
The Lumeah man was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm for a separate offence in January.
Both men were refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.

Police said the 32-year-old victim suffered lacerations to her hands and a fractured wrist.
She was taken to Campbelltown Hospital while a 62-year-old man was arrested at the scene and also taken for assessment.
He was then taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (DV) and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV).
He's spent the night in the lock up ahead of a court appearance in Campbelltown today.
