ArtsNational Shoalhaven: Arts lecture – Constantin Brancusi

Join us for an exploration of Romanian sculptor Brancusi, who, after briefly working in Auguste Rodin’s studio, became a leading figure in modernism. Known for his radical and simplified forms, Brancusi’s work sparked controversy, notably when his Bird in Space was rejected as art by American customs. The event will delve into his life and key works, led by Rosalind Whyte, an experienced guide and lecturer with degrees from Goldsmith’s and Birkbeck Colleges. Whyte brings her expertise from the Tate and other prestigious institutions to this insightful presentation.

Tickets can be purchased at the door and includes a glass of sparkling wine with fellow art lovers after the lecture.
