Award Winning Documentary Screening at CTC Robertson

As part of this year’s Seniors Festival, the CTC is excited to be screening Ticketyboo a very special documentary film on Wednesday 13 March at 10.30am.  This film is a deeply moving, heartfelt personal exploration of dementia, told with gentle humour.

This award winning documentary, written and directed by journalist Renée Brack, investigates her father’s experience of the illness and her own fraught and complicated response to it, alongside the implications it may hold for her future. The film – 82 minutes – will be introduced by Renée and she will return at the end for a Q&A session.

Both heart-warming and heart wrenching, Renée Brack stalks the spectre of dementia like a wryly humorous detective unlocking its mysteries for anyone young or old.

Although it is part of the Seniors Festival, anyone with an interest in dementia of any age is welcome to attend.  It does come with a little warning that it is less suited to people who have a dementia diagnosis as they can find it upsetting, and more suited to people who care about them – friends, family and colleagues.

The screening is kindly sponsored by Harbison and is free to attend.  The CTC Café will be open for purchase of morning tea from 10am.

Bookings are essential and can be made at https://www.robertsonctc.org.au/seniorsfestival.html or by calling the CTC on 4885 2665.  You can also book into other free CTC Seniors Festival events including a Technology Workshop on Friday 15 March at 11am and a Singing workshop – Take Your Singing Beyond the Shower! on Saturday 16 March at 2pm.
