Nowra Bowling Club and Recreation Club was officially formed in 1914. However there has been some speculation that there were weather reports dating back to the 1890’s recorded at the Club, although this can’t be proven today.

In the early days of the Club, membership was restricted to gentlemen from local businesses and those persons thought to be of the “right” character or community leaders. Thankfully those attitudes have changed over the years and today the Nowra Bowling Club enjoys the benefits of a wide ranging and diverse membership and now boasts over 3,000 members.

Over the last 10 years, the Club has undergone several major renovations to update and improve the facilities offered to members and their guests. The Club now contains a new outdoor pavilion, larger poker machine area and modern dining facilities to name a few.

Throughout the history of the Club, they have considered themselves to be an important part of the Nowra community by offering support to those who request it, either financially or in-kind by making the premises available to them.

The Club offers several social activities which we run each week, including Bingo, Meat Raffles, Trivia, Poker and Punters Choice.
