The NSW SES Wingecarribee and Moss Vale units’ rescue team were activated for a Road Crash Rescue in Hilltop.
On arrival, they found a truck carrying gas cylinders had rolled and come to rest down an embankment, with the driver trapped in the cab by compression.
Volunteers worked alongside NSW Police officers, NSW Ambulance Paramedics and Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Rural Fire Service to stabilise the vehicle and driver.

They then cut and spread open the cab to release the driver, whilst FRNSW firefighters specialising in Hazardous Materials secured and managed the gas cylinders.
The driver was carried back up to the road and transferred into the care of Paramedics.
