A driver is in a critical condition after a tree fell and crushed his truck in the Southern Highlands overnight.
Emergency services were called to Berrima Road, Moss Vale, about 10.30pm (Tuesday 1 July 2025), and found a tree had fallen onto a B-Double truck, crushing the driver’s cabin.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District, assisted by NSW Ambulance, State Emergency Service and Fire and Rescue NSW extracted the unconscious driver.

The driver, a 55-year-old man, was treated for serious injuries to his head and torso before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
