Wingecarribee Shire Council has launched a new pre-booked bulky waste collection service for residents who receive a domestic waste service in the Shire, commencing on July 1st, 2024.
This service replaces the previous scheduled kerbside bulky waste collection.
The transition to a pre-booked system offers several advantages for residents.
Increased Convenience: Residents can now schedule their bulky waste collection providing greater flexibility and control.
Double the Collections: The new system allows residents to book up to two bulky waste collections per financial year, doubling the previous entitlement.
Improved Efficiency: Pre-booking allows WSC to optimise collection routes, leading to a more efficient service.
To ensure the continued availability of this valuable service, bulky waste collection will be included as a requirement in future waste management contracts.
Residents who currently receive a domestic waste service are eligible to use the bulky waste collection service.
The Shire will be divided into six collection zones, offering residents eight booking opportunities throughout the 48-week service period
