Wingecarribee Mobile Community Recycling Centre

February 21, 2024 8:47 am in by

Wingecarribee Shire Council is rolling out a new Mobile Community Recycling Centre (MCRC) to visit the major villages in our Shire.

It will collect all sorts of problem waste and dispose of it sustainably and in an environmentally conscious way.

From Welby to Bundanoon, Colo Vale to Exeter, Penrose to Burrawang, hard to get rid of waste for disposal tends to remain dormant in households, so the mobile service will be an asset for communities.

The mobile unit is free of charge to utilise.

It will be on the road travelling to designated site locations at the main villages from 6 March 2024, starting at Hill Top, and wrap up at Wingello on 24 July 2024 to help dispose of recyclable rubbish.

By collecting and disposing of various problem waste items, it promotes environmental sustainability and responsible waste management practices.

Council will confirm and book the locations. All residents need to do is check the collection locations and dates on our website and be ready with their waste for collection on the day

Targeted items for collection include:
