Woman Airlifted after Mermaid Falls incident

About 8:30am on Sunday 14 January NSW Ambulance was called to someone who had fallen several metres off the rock face at the Mermaid Pools, Tahmoor.

A female bushwalker was attempting to cross the flowing creek and slipped over and was taken down stream before falling over the waterfall.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a woman in her 30s for several bruises, cuts and abrasions to her back and limbs.

She was winched out by NSW Ambulance critical care paramedics in the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter and airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
