Major changes to aged care services and support will come into effect for residents across the South Coast and Southern Highlands starting this Saturday 1 November.
The new Aged Care Act and Support at Home program responds to 58 recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.
Minister for Aged Care and Seniors, Sam Rae, says they’re providing targeted support to help assist the transition for local seniors and regional aged carers.
