An off duty police officer is facing charges over an alleged assault at Bowral.
It’s alleged police patrolling a concert back in March were attempting to eject a man when they were assaulted by the 26-year-old woman. A female officer had her glasses smashed during the altercation.
NSW Police confirmed the woman is a constable attached to an unspecified southern region command.
The woman, whose ongoing employment as a police officer is now under review, was taken to Bowral Hospital after claiming to be unwell, however is understood to have left a short time later.
She has been issued with a Court Attendance Notice for four offences, including two counts of resisting or hindering police, and two of assaulting police.
She is due to appear in Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 4 August 2026.
