Homicide Squad detectives have charged two people following an investigation into the murder of a woman in Goulburn last year.
Police were called to a home on Joshua Street in Goulburn, following a concern for welfare report.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District attended and forced entry into the home where they located the body of a 48-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds.
Detective attached to The Hume Police District established a crime scene before the matter was referred to State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad who commenced Strike Force Emsworth to investigate.

Following extensive inquiries, about 8.30am yesterday (Thursday 5 February 2026), strike force detectives executed a search warrant in Goulburn, where police arrested a 40-year-old woman and 44-year-old man.

The woman was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station, and the man to Goulburn Police station, where they were each charged with one count of murder (DV).
Both were refused bail to appear in Bail Division Local Court 3 today (Friday 6 February 2026).
Police will allege in court the victim was known to her attackers, having previously been in a domestic relationship with the 40-year-old woman.
