First ever Christmas Youth Market

Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling for expressions of interest for the first ever Christmas Youth Market.

The market will be held Friday 12 December, from 5pm to 7pm, at Bowral Memorial
Hall, as part of this year’s Christmas Highlands program.

It’s an opportunity for young people to showcase their talents, develop sales skills, connect with peers, and build local networks, while contributing to the local economy.

By providing a platform for young people to share and sell their work, the market fosters
entrepreneurship and community engagement in line with the Young Highlands 2025-
2029 plan.

With more than 7,150 residents aged 12-24, comprising over 13.5% of the population,
young people play an essential role in shaping the future of Wingecarribee. The Young
Highlands Plan aims to provide a renewed focus and clear actions to support their unique needs and aspirations.

Expressions of interest for the Youth Market close at 5pm on Thursday 20
November.

Applications can be submitted online.

Successful applicants will be notified on Friday 21 November.
