Measures have been implemented to secure the software system at Holiday Haven, Shoalhaven Heads following the discovery of a data breach.
Holiday Haven staff initiated contacting people whose data has been compromised after it was brought to their attention this morning.
We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience and are working with our vendors to urgently investigate the incident and eliminate any security risks.
Initial investigations indicate customer contact details for people with upcoming accommodation bookings were accessed and used to send fraudulent emails. That said, we are still inquiring about the extent of the breach with the vendor.
Holiday Haven is a division of Shoalhaven City Council and as a team, have enacted urgent security measures in response to the breach and will work with state and federal agencies on this crime.
We encourage affected customers to remain vigilant and monitor their accounts for any unusual or suspicious activity.
