The $440 million Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital has reached an important milestone with the completion of the 7-storey Acute Services Building.
The Emergency Department is moving and will be accessed from North Street from 8am on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.
The old ED and entry will close.
A range of hospital services and departments will move into the new building when it opens.
Other services will move to temporary locations to allow the refurbishment of the existing hospital.
These moves will occur 3-4 weeks after the opening of the Acute Services Building.
Some services will relocate to new locations temporarily during construction work.
These arrangements are expected to remain in place for up to 12 months, while construction in various locations
are completed
