Southern Highlands Community Foundation 2026 grants program

The Southern Highlands Community Foundation (SHCF) announced the opening of their 2026 Grants Program, with a total funding pool of $130,000 available for eligible initiatives across the Southern Highlands region.

Grants of up to of up to $25,000 are available for community-led programs and mul-year funding
will also be considered for projects demonstrating strong long-term community benefit.

Additionally, the SHCF is seeking grant applications for youth centric initiatives that directly support
young people (under 25) across the Shire.

Andy Skidmore, Chair of the SHCF Grants Committee, said, “Community grants are an important part of the Foundation’s work, providing a direct way to respond to local needs. Our Grants Program has supported many grassroots initiatives to get off the ground, grow and deliver lasting positive impact across the community.”

The SHCF is inviting applications for initiatives that support health and welfare, youth, education,
families, aged care, community engagement, environmental projects and programs that strengthen
First Nations people and culture.

This year, the SHCF will also host a free Grant Seeker Workshop on 15 July 2026 at the Southern
Highlands Botanic Gardens. The workshop is designed to help prospective applicants better
understand the grants process, eligibility criteria and how to prepare a strong application.
2026 Grants Program

  • Closing date: 31 August 2026
  • Applications must be submitted via the online application form at shcf.org.au
  • Applicants are encouraged to review SHCF funding guidelines and eligibility criteria before
    applying
  • Successful applicants will be notified in early October 2026.
