Staff and students at three Shoalhaven education facilities will receive upgrades totalling $5.36 million that will improve student educational outcomes in the region.
Federal Member for Gilmore Fiona Phillips said projects at Nowra Christian School, Shoalhaven River College and William Campbell College at Nowra Hill would be delivered with support of the Australian Government funding through the Capital Grants Program.

“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn,” Mrs Phillips said.
“The Australian Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those at the three local schools, get the best possible education.”
Mrs Phillips said the $1.26 million construction of modular buildings at Shoalhaven River College would benefit current students as well as the many students who will follow in future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at Shoalhaven River College have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” she said.
Staff and students at Nowra Christian School in Nowra will benefit from the construction of two science laboratories and a two-storey building with $2.4 million Australian Government funding.
“I congratulate Nowra Christian School on their successful grant application and look forward to seeing the positive impact these new facilities will have on the school community,” Mrs Phillips said.
Construction of new building at William Campbell College in Nowra Hill will include four general learning areas, breakout spaces, staff offices and amenities.
Mrs Phillips said the project would be delivered with $1.7 million through the Capital Grants Program.
“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.
“This is such great news for students in our region and will go a long way toward helping them achieve their learning goals.”
