Parents and carers across the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands are being urged to make sure an eye test is on their child’s back-to-school checklist.
It comes as new research reveals nearly 1 in 5 parents (18%) are unaware of the signs of poor eye health in their children, despite its impact on school performance.
Optometrist Doctor Joe Paul, said early detection and intervention is critical.
