A new dawn is on the horizon for the Mittagong Memorial Hall / Playhouse as refurbishment works started this week.
The $8.66 million project is being delivered through a joint funding arrangement, with the Australian Government contributing $4.33 million through the Growing Regions Program and Council matching this investment with a further $4.33 million.
Construction is expected to be completed in December 2026. In the meantime, there will be some temporary changes to traffic and pedestrian access along Main Street. Parking in front of the Regal Centre and adjoining businesses will shift from 90-degree to 45-degree parking, with the car park operating one-way from Bowral Road towards Main Street. Pedestrian access around the Playhouse will be temporarily diverted via Bowral Road.
