Regional Development Australia Illawarra Shoalhaven has brought together business, government, and community leaders for the release of its new regional identity andstrategic priorities.
The event reviewed RDAIS’s current priorities, projects, and partnerships, exploring how each contributes to the region’s growth and prosperity. Discussions highlighted how these initiatives are shaping the Illawarra Shoalhaven and Jervis Bay Territory today, while positioning the region to seize future opportunities.
The refreshed brand was unveiled as part of the event, capturing both the essence of the region and the strategic direction of RDAIS as it works to deliver meaningful, place-based outcomes.
“Our new strategy, priorities and identity reflect not only who we are today but also the vision we hold for the future,” said RDAIS Chair, Adam Zarth.
“It was wonderful to share this milestone with our partners and stakeholders and reinforce our vision of connecting and collaborating to unlock the full potential of our region.”
The event also highlighted RDAIS’s priorities for the year ahead, including:
- Building the next generation of regional leaders through new programs and partnerships.
- Addressing critical transport and infrastructure needs.
- Driving strategic investment by connecting businesses with opportunities in the region.
- Supporting housing, workforce, and energy initiatives that underpin sustainable growth.
RDAIS CEO Selena Stevens said the event underlined the importance of collaboration across all sectors.
“Our work is only possible with the support and partnership of our stakeholders. Last night was an exciting opportunity to share updates, celebrate progress, and most importantly, look ahead together to drive shared outcomes,” Ms Stevens said.
The release of RDAIS’s inaugural strategic priorities attracted stakeholders from across government, business, education, and community sectors, reinforcing the region’s reputation as a place of innovation, resilience and shared ambition.
