Light Up Christmas is set to kick off the festive season this weekend!
In preparation of the event, Wingecarribee Shire Council advises of the following road closures and access arrangements in Bowral CBD from 4pm on Saturday 6 December.

Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and allow for extra time when travelling through
the town centre.
Road Closures – 4pm to 7.30pm
The following roads will be closed during the event:
- Banyette Street
- Bong Bong Street (vehicles parked on Bong Bong Street after 5pm will not be able
to move until after 7.30pm). - Wingecarribee Street
- Boolwey Street
- Argyle Lane
- Wattle Lane
Car Park Closures – 4pm to 7.30pm - Banyette Street Car Park
Access Information - Coles Car Park remains open via Bendooley Street – please drive carefully as
event crowds move through the area. - Woolworths Car Parks on Banyette Street (both levels) stay open with entry
from Bendooley Street - Oxley Mall Car Park and the Woolworths Car Park on Boolwey Street also remain accessible from Bendooley Street
Council thanks the community for their patience and understanding as everyone comes
together for an evening full of colour, carols and Christmas cheer.
The Festival of Lights will illuminate Corbett Gardens each evening from 6 to 26
December 2025, with free entry for all to enjoy.

Corbett Gardens will be closed Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 December for the
removal of event infrastructure.
During these times, there will be no public access, and visitors are asked to take care near the area.
