The son of a local politician has been charged after being caught drink driving and hitting four people.
Brendan Peter Barton from Bawley Point was arrested in the town following the incident on Bawley Point Road on December 6 last year.
Documents before Batemans Bay Local Court state the 30 year-old recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.143.
Police allege, the son of South Coast Labor MP, Liza Butler also caused bodily harm to four people after striking them with a white Toyota ute after driving down the wrong side of the road under the influence of alcohol between 8:19 and 8:30 on the night in question.
The case was first mentioned briefly in Batemans Bay Local Court on February 23.
The matter has been adjourned to March 30.
